Why choose Hats Iris?

We’re a small, friendly and very experienced team – easy to talk to and always ready to listen to your goals or plans. We love getting to know our clients and often their families too! You’ll always speak to Clare or Anna throughout the process, and we’re here to help as long as you need us.

Clare was honestly the most helpful person we spoke with during the whole process. She was kind, understanding, explained things so clearly and really went the extra mile to ensure we had what we needed (even if we needed things last minute!). We can’t recommend her enough, and I will be sure to pass her details on to anyone I speak to who may be looking to buy or re-mortgage. Thank you so much for everything Clare!

Hi I’m Clare Malone,
founder and consultant at Hats Iris.

Five quick facts about me!

  1. I’ve been in financial services for 30 years, spending 25 years in the mortgage & protection industry. I established Hats Iris in 2019.

  2. I hold a Financial Planning Certificate (FPC), Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER).

  3. I love getting to know clients over a cup of coffee and helping them plan for the future.

  4. I particularly enjoy thinking creatively about more complex cases, working out who we can talk to then putting together a case to explain why we should be lending.

  5. I’m a mum to two girls who keep me busy in my spare time. I also love running (10k is my distance), travel (and taking inspiration from my clients’ trips!) and the cinema.

Meet our team

Hi I’m Anna Snow,
Mortgage Administration Manager at Hats Iris.

Five quick facts about me!

  1. I've been working in mortgages for 25 years on the admin side of things, and started out in a high street bank.

  2. I joined Hats Iris in 2019 and, among other things, am our buildings and contents insurance specialist.

  3. I love to dot the i's and cross the t's and make sure a job's well done. Organised is my middle name!

  4. I'm a busy mum of two teenage boys.

  5. In my spare time I'm a fair-weather cyclist, my longest event being 80 miles around the Isle of Wight. I also love to run (more of a plod really) and learning to play the piano!

And the question everyone asks …

‘Where did the name Hats Iris come from?’

It’s an amalgamation of Clare’s two daughters’ names!
